The Water Cycle

Water is essential for life.

The Water Cycle
Water can be a solid (ice), gas (water vapour) or liquid (lakes, oceans, rivers).
It is made of two molecules of hydrogen and one of oxygen. Water is recycled
naturally. The sun heats the water in lakes, streams, oceans and on the ground,
changing it into water vapour. Plant leaves give off water vapour too. The water
vapour - water in the form of gas - rises in the air. These tiny drops become
clouds. The water vapour condenses into liquid and becomes rain or sometimes
freezes to form snow and hail which then falls to the ground. The sun heats
the water and so the cycle repeats.
